CERT Surveyor is a specialized application developed specifically for community emergency first responders, aimed at enhancing the coordination of search and rescue operations. The app effectively utilizes NAPSG USAR v7 FEMA CERT icons to facilitate waypoint marking on a map. It offers capabilities for creating tracks with customizable intervals and distance variations, as well as loading PDF maps and generating new maps featuring waypoint icons.

All collected data can be seamlessly uploaded to the associated website account, where users can download it in various formats, including KML, GPX, and Excel. This data can also be integrated into an ArcGIS Online Operations Dashboard, among other applications.

It is crucial to note that the WiFi-only iPad lacks a dedicated Assisted GPS chip. Only the WiFi + Cellular version includes this chip, but there may be limitations in areas devoid of WiFi or cellular signals, such as open oceans or urban environments with heavy concrete structures. For optimal functionality in such scenarios, it is advisable to utilize a dedicated GPS attachment.
